Vote for Sarah

Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.   Jeremiah 29:7

PCC is about growing God’s Kingdom, drawing people into relationship with Jesus and bringing about changed lives within our community.

We have chosen to build a special relationship with Roosevelt School over the last few years. We’ve had two Beautiful Days on their campus. We’ve hosted a holiday program for the kids to present to their parents. We’ve sponsored classrooms and tutored in them. We often drive students to field trips through School Age Child Care and as part of Redwood City Reads this summer; we’re providing aids for classrooms for summer school.  We are committed to blessing Roosevelt any way that we can.

And now we have a chance to do that again.  CSN, a sports TV network, is hosting a contest called All Star Teacher.  Sarah Coyle from Roosevelt School is one of 5 contestants. The winner’s reward is $20,000 for her school.  Wouldn’t it be great if we all helped her win?

Sarah is certainly worthy of the honor.  You might remember seeing her on our platform as we honored her for winning Teacher of the Year.  Check out this video that CSN created to highlight her impact on the classroom.

One of my favorite moments in this video is when they mention that she had seventh-grade class make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for homeless people.  That’s our own Street Life Ministries! Every week for a year, she even escorted students to Street Life’s worship and feeding gatherings when they expressed interest in handing out the sandwiches themselves.

I’m proud to say that I’m a Roosevelt daddy and excited that Sarah is representing the school where my children attend.

The All Star voting process is similar to that of NBA or MLB.  You can vote once a day, everyday till the contest ends at midnight THIS Sunday, June 1st.

Let’s do it PCC!  Let’s be agents of blessing and partner with those who bring change to our community!  Here’s the link to vote.

Grateful,
Todd Gumbrecht
